The first OpenLab organized by the University of Santiago de Compostela took place on 12 December 2019 at the Escola Politécnica Superior de Enxeñaría (EPSE). This event gathered a large number of attendees (135) from different places of the province of Lugo and the autonomous region of Galicia with several backgrounds (pre-university students, university students and general public). As a result, this OpenLab succeeded in achieving its final objective of engaging society in the PORTOS project and allowing attendees to learn about the potential of marine renewable energies and the long-term benefits of making sustainable choices.
