Partner skills
APDL is responsible for the Port of Leixões, the 2nd largest port in PT, Port of Viana do Castelo and river Douro navigation channel (up to the Spanish border). Skills in planning and management of port development. Specific divisions of constructions, mechanical and electrical engineering.
Transnational experience
Participation in URBACT II, Atlantic Area, TEN-T and Connecting Europe Facility. INTERREG: NETMAR – Networked systems for situational awareness and intervention in maritime incidents; MARINE – Maritime Incident R&I Network; ATMOS; SSSAA, PLACA 4S (Short Sea Shipping Sustainable).
Role in the project
APDL will be a project partner. It manages the Port of Leixões, that will be one of the three case-study ports that was selected for being led towards energy self-sufficiency. Moreover, APDL will contribute with its knowledge about the port system to the development of several project actions.
