APVIGO is the pioneering port in Europe in the implementation of the Blue Growth Strategy in a comprehensive manner, promoting competitiveness, efficiency and sustainability in all his activities, installations and services. It has experience in managing conferences about green energy at ports.
Transnational experience
APVIGO participated in several EU projects related with environment and sustainability (FP7-THEME 7, life, life +, Feder, TENT-T), e.g., ATLANTICA OPTIMOS project (2013-EU-21009-P), involving analysis of options for emission reduction in the Motorway of the Sea between Vigo and Nantes-Saint Nazaire.
Role in the project
APVIGO will be a project partner. It manages the Port of Vigo, that will be one of the three case-study ports selected for being led towards energy self-sufficiency. Moreover, APVIGO will contribute with its knowledge about the port system to the development of several project actions.APDL will be a project partner. It manages the Port of Leixões, that will be one of the three case-study ports that was selected for being led towards energy self-sufficiency. Moreover, APDL will contribute with its knowledge about the port system to the development of several project actions.
